Kitchen Confidential — Graphic Design
Background: A cover design for Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential, a book known for its raw and unfiltered portrayal of life inside professional kitchens.
Process: I illustrated the cover in Procreate, creating a stark composition with a chef’s knife and scattered cigarette butts to symbolize the grit, chaos, and edgy reality of kitchen culture. The contrast of tools and vices reflects the tension and intensity that define the culinary world.
Outcome: The design delivers an unpolished, visceral look that captures the rebellious spirit of Bourdain’s writing, giving the book an authentic and memorable visual identity.
